約翰福音 第 14 章 · 我就是道路、真理、生命

¹你們心裡不要憂愁；你們信神，也當信我。Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

²在我父的家裡有許多住處；若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了。我去原是為你們預備地方去。In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

³我若去為你們預備了地方，就必再來接你們到我那裡去，我在那裡，叫你們也在那裡。And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

⁴我往那裡去，你們知道；那條路，你們也知道（有古卷作：我往那裡去，你們知道那條路）。And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

⁵多馬對他說：主阿，我們不知道你往那裡去，怎麼知道那條路呢？Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

⁶耶穌說：我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉著我，沒有人能到父那裡去。Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

⁷你們若認識我，也就認識我的父。從今以後，你們認識他，並且已經看見他。If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

⁸腓力對他說：求主將父顯給我們看，我們就知足了。Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

⁹耶穌對他說：腓力，我與你們同在這樣長久，你還不認識我麼？人看見了我，就是看見了父；你怎麼說將父顯給我們看呢？Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

¹⁰我在父裡面，父在我裡面，你不信麼？我對你們所說的話，不是憑著自己說的，乃是住在我裡面的父做他自己的事。Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

¹¹你們當信我，我在父裡面，父在我裡面；即或不信，也當因我所做的事信我。Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

¹²我實實在在的告訴你們，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，並且要做比這更大的事，因為我往父那裡去。Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

¹³你們奉我的名無論求甚麼，我必成就，叫父因兒子得榮耀。And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

¹⁴你們若奉我的名求甚麼，我必成就。If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

¹⁵你們若愛我，就必遵守我的命令。If ye love me, keep my commandments.

¹⁶我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師（或作：訓慰師；下同），叫他永遠與你們同在，And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

¹⁷就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的；因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裡面。Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

¹⁸我不撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裡來。I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

¹⁹還有不多的時候，世人不再看見我，你們卻看見我；因為我活著，你們也要活著。Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

²⁰到那日，你們就知道我在父裡面，你們在我裡面，我也在你們裡面。At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

²¹有了我的命令又遵守的，這人就是愛我的；愛我的必蒙我父愛他，我也要愛他，並且要向他顯現。He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

²²猶大（不是加略人猶大）問耶穌說：主阿，為甚麼要向我們顯現，不向世人顯現呢？Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

²³耶穌回答說：人若愛我，就必遵守我的道；我父也必愛他，並且我們要到他那裡去，與他同住。Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

²⁴不愛我的人就不遵守我的道。你們所聽見的道不是我的，乃是差我來之父的道。He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

²⁵我還與你們同住的時候，已將這些話對你們說了。These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

²⁶但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

²⁷我留下平安給你們；我將我的平安賜給你們。我所賜的，不像世人所賜的。你們心裡不要憂愁，也不要膽怯。Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

²⁸你們聽見我對你們說了，我去還要到你們這裡來。你們若愛我，因我到父那裡去，就必喜樂，因為父是比我大的。Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

²⁹現在事情還沒有成就，我預先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候就可以信。And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

³⁰以後我不再和你們多說話，因為這世界的王將到。他在我裡面是毫無所有；Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

³¹但要叫世人知道我愛父，並且父怎樣吩咐我，我就怎樣行。起來，我們走罷！But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
