箴言 第 11 章

¹詭詐的天平為耶和華所憎惡；公平的法碼為他所喜悅。A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

²驕傲來，羞恥也來；謙遜人卻有智慧。When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

³正直人的純正必引導自己；奸詐人的乖僻必毀滅自己。The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

⁴發怒的日子資財無益；惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

⁵完全人的義必指引他的路；但惡人必因自己的惡跌倒。The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

⁶正直人的義必拯救自己；奸詐人必陷在自己的罪孽中。The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

⁷惡人一死，他的指望必滅絕；罪人的盼望也必滅沒。When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.

⁸義人得脫離患難，有惡人來代替他。The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

⁹不虔敬的人用口敗壞鄰舍；義人卻因知識得救。An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

¹⁰義人享福，合城喜樂；惡人滅亡，人都歡呼。When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

¹¹城因正直人祝福便高舉，卻因邪惡人的口就傾覆。By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

¹²藐視鄰舍的，毫無智慧；明哲人卻靜默不言。He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

¹³往來傳舌的，洩漏密事；心中誠實的，遮隱事情。A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

¹⁴無智謀，民就敗落；謀士多，人便安居。Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

¹⁵為外人作保的，必受虧損；恨惡擊掌的，卻得安穩。He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.

¹⁶恩德的婦女得尊榮；強暴的男子得資財。A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

¹⁷仁慈的人善待自己；殘忍的人擾害己身。The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

¹⁸惡人經營，得虛浮的工價；撒義種的，得實在的果效。The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

¹⁹恆心為義的，必得生命；追求邪惡的，必致死亡。As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

²⁰心中乖僻的，為耶和華所憎惡；行事完全的，為他所喜悅。They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

²¹惡人雖然連手，必不免受罰；義人的後裔必得拯救。Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

²²婦女美貌而無見識，如同金環帶在豬鼻上。As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

²³義人的心願盡得好處；惡人的指望致干忿怒。The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

²⁴有施散的，卻更增添；有吝惜過度的，反致窮乏。There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

²⁵好施捨的，必得豐裕；滋潤人的，必得滋潤。The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

²⁶屯糧不賣的，民必咒詛他；情願出賣的，人必為他祝福。He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

²⁷懇切求善的，就求得恩惠；惟獨求惡的，惡必臨到他身。He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

²⁸倚仗自己財物的，必跌倒；義人必發旺，如青葉。He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

²⁹擾害己家的，必承受清風；愚昧人必作慧心人的僕人。He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

³⁰義人所結的果子就是生命樹；有智慧的，必能得人。The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

³¹看哪，義人在世尚且受報，何況惡人和罪人呢？Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
