約伯記 第 37 章

¹因此我心戰兢，從原處移動。At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

²聽啊，神轟轟的聲音是他口中所發的響聲。Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

³他發響聲震遍天下，發電光閃到地極。He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

⁴隨後人聽見有雷聲轟轟，大發威嚴，雷電接連不斷。After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

⁵神發出奇妙的雷聲；他行大事，我們不能測透。God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

⁶他對雪說：要降在地上；對大雨和暴雨也是這樣說。For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

⁷他封住各人的手，叫所造的萬人都曉得他的作為。He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

⁸百獸進入穴中，臥在洞內。Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

⁹暴風出於南宮；寒冷出於北方。Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

¹⁰神噓氣成冰；寬闊之水也都凝結。By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

¹¹他使密雲盛滿水氣，布散電光之雲；Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

¹²這雲是藉他的指引游行旋轉，得以在全地面上行他一切所吩咐的，And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

¹³或為責罰，或為潤地，或為施行慈愛。He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

¹⁴約伯啊，你要留心聽，要站立思想神奇妙的作為。Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

¹⁵神如何吩咐這些，如何使雲中的電光照耀，你知道麼？Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

¹⁶雲彩如何浮於空中，那知識全備者奇妙的作為，你知道麼？Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

¹⁷南風使地寂靜，你的衣服就如火熱，你知道麼？How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

¹⁸你豈能與神同鋪穹蒼麼？這穹蒼堅硬，如同鑄成的鏡子。Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

¹⁹我們愚昧不能陳說；請你指教我們該對他說甚麼話。Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

²⁰人豈可說：我願與他說話？豈有人自願滅亡麼？Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

²¹現在有雲遮蔽，人不得見穹蒼的光亮；但風吹過，天又發晴。And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

²²金光出於北方，在神那裡有可怕的威嚴。Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

²³論到全能者，我們不能測度；他大有能力，有公平和大義，必不苦待人。Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

²⁴所以，人敬畏他；凡自以為心中有智慧的人，他都不顧念。Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
