以賽亞書 第 44 章

¹我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的以色列啊，現在你當聽。Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:

²造做你，又從你出胎造就你，並要幫助你的耶和華如此說：我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的耶書崙哪，不要害怕！Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

³因為我要將水澆灌口渴的人，將河澆灌乾旱之地。我要將我的靈澆灌你的後裔，將我的福澆灌你的子孫。For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

⁴他們要發生在草中，像溪水旁的柳樹。And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.

⁵這個要說：我是屬耶和華的；那個要以雅各的名自稱；又一個要親手寫：歸耶和華的（或譯：在手上寫歸耶和華），並自稱為以色列。One shall say, I am the LORD’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

⁶耶和華─以色列的君，以色列的救贖主─萬軍之耶和華如此說：我是首先的，我是末後的；除我以外再沒有真神。Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

⁷自從我設立古時的民，誰能像我宣告，並且指明，又為自己陳說呢？讓他將未來來的事和必成的事說明。And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

⁸你們不要恐懼，也不要害怕。我豈不是從上古就說明指示你們麼？並且你們是我的見證！除我以外，豈有真神麼？誠然沒有磐石，我不知道一個！Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

⁹製造雕刻偶像的盡都虛空；他們所喜悅的都無益處；他們的見證無所看見，無所知曉，他們便覺羞愧。They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

¹⁰誰製造神像，鑄造無益的偶像？Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

¹¹看哪，他的同伴都必羞愧。工匠也不過是人，任他們聚會，任他們站立，都必懼怕，一同羞愧。Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.

¹²鐵匠把鐵在火炭中燒熱，用鎚打鐵器，用他有力的膀臂錘成；他飢餓而無力，不喝水而發倦。The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.

¹³木匠拉線，用筆劃出樣子，用鉋子鉋成形狀，用圓尺劃了模樣，仿照人的體態，做成人形，好住在房屋中。The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

¹⁴他砍伐香柏樹，又取柞（或譯：青桐）樹和橡樹，在樹林中選定了一棵。他栽種松樹，得雨長養。He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

¹⁵這樹，人可用以燒火；他自己取些烤火，又燒著烤餅，而且做神像跪拜，做雕刻的偶像向他叩拜。Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

¹⁶他把一分燒在火中，把一分烤肉吃飽。自己烤火說：啊哈，我暖和了，我見火了。He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

¹⁷他用剩下的做了一神，就是雕刻的偶像。他向這偶像俯伏叩拜，禱告他說：求你拯救我，因你是我的神。And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

¹⁸他們不知道，也不思想；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼，不能看見，塞住他們的心，不能明白。They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

¹⁹誰心裡也不醒悟，也沒有知識，沒有聰明，能說：我曾拿一分在火中燒了，在炭火上烤過餅；我也烤過肉吃。這剩下的，我豈要作可憎的物嗎？我豈可向木丕子叩拜呢？And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

²⁰他以灰為食，心中昏迷，使他偏邪，他不能自救，也不能說：我右手中豈不是有虛謊麼？He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

²¹雅各，以色列啊，你是我的僕人，要記念這些事。以色列啊，你是我的僕人，我造就你必不忘記你。Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.

²²我塗抹了你的過犯，像厚雲消散；我塗抹了你的罪惡，如薄雲滅沒。你當歸向我，因我救贖了你。I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

²³諸天哪，應當歌唱，因為耶和華做成這事。地的深處啊，應當歡呼；眾山應當發聲歌唱；樹林和其中所有的樹都當如此！因為耶和華救贖了雅各，並要因以色列榮耀自己。Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.

²⁴從你出胎，造就你的救贖主─耶和華如此說：我─耶和華是創造萬物的，是獨自鋪張諸天、鋪開大地的。誰與我同在呢？Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

²⁵使說假話的兆頭失效，使占卜的癲狂，使智慧人退後，使他的知識變為愚拙；That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

²⁶使我僕人的話語立定，我使者的謀算成就。論到耶路撒冷說：必有人居住；論到猶大的城邑說：必被建造，其中的荒場我也必興起。That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:

²⁷對深淵說：你乾了罷！我也要使你的江河乾涸。That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:

²⁸論古列說：他是我的牧人，必成就我所喜悅的，必下令建造耶路撒冷，發命立穩聖殿的根基。That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
