1（上行（或作登階，下同）之詩。）我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我。In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2耶和華啊，求你救我脫離說謊的嘴唇和詭詐的舌頭！Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3詭詐的舌頭啊，要給你甚麼呢？要拿甚麼加給你呢？What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4就是勇士的利箭和羅騰木（小樹名，松類）的炭火。Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5我寄居在米設，住在基達帳棚之中，有禍了！Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6我與那恨惡和睦的人許久同住。My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7我願和睦，但我發言，他們就要爭戰。I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
