箴言 第 10 章

¹所罗门的箴言：智慧之子使父亲欢乐；愚昧之子叫母亲担忧。The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

²不义之财毫无益处；惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

³耶和华不使义人受饥饿；恶人所欲的，他必推开。The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

⁴手懒的，要受贫穷；手勤的，却要富足。He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

⁵夏天聚敛的，是智慧之子；收割时沉睡的，是贻羞之子。He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

⁶福祉临到义人的头；强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

⁷义人的纪念被称赞；恶人的名字必朽烂。The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

⁸心中智慧的，必受命令；口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

⁹行正直路的，步步安稳；走弯曲道的，必致败露。He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

¹⁰以眼传神的，使人忧患；口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.

¹¹义人的口是生命的泉源；强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

¹²恨能挑启争端；爱能遮掩一切过错。Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

¹³明哲人嘴里有智慧；无知人背上受刑杖。In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

¹⁴智慧人积存知识；愚妄人的口速致败坏。Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

¹⁵富户的财物是他的坚城；穷人的贫乏是他的败坏。The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.

¹⁶义人的勤劳致生；恶人的进项致死（死：原文是罪）。The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

¹⁷谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上；违弃责备的，便失迷了路。He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

¹⁸隐藏怨恨的，有说谎的嘴；口出谗谤的，是愚妄的人。He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

¹⁹多言多语难免有过；禁止嘴唇是有智慧。In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

²⁰义人的舌乃似高银；恶人的心所值无几。The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

²¹义人的口教养多人；愚昧人因无知而死亡。The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

²²耶和华所赐的福使人富足，并不加上忧虑。The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

²³愚妄人以行恶为戏耍；明哲人却以智慧为乐。It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

²⁴恶人所怕的，必临到他；义人所愿的，必蒙应允。The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

²⁵暴风一过，恶人归于无有；义人的根基却是永久。As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

²⁶懒惰人叫差他的人如醋倒牙，如烟薰目。As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

²⁷敬畏耶和华使人日子加多；但恶人的年岁必被减少。The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

²⁸义人的盼望必得喜乐；恶人的指望必致灭没。The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

²⁹耶和华的道是正直人的保障，却成了作孽人的败坏。The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

³⁰义人永不挪移；恶人不得住在地上。The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

³¹义人的口滋生智慧；乖谬的舌必被割断。The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

³²义人的嘴能令人喜悦；恶人的口说乖谬的话。The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
