歷代志上 第 13 章

¹大衛與千夫長、百夫長，就是一切首領商議。And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.

²大衛對以色列全會眾說：你們若以為美，見這事是出於耶和華─我們的神，我們就差遣人走遍以色列地，見我們未來的弟兄，又見住在有郊野之城的祭司利未人，使他們都到這裡來聚集。And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:

³我們要把神的約櫃運到我們這裡來；因為在掃羅年間，我們沒有在約櫃前求問神。And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.

⁴全會眾都說可以如此行；這事在眾民眼中都看為好。And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

⁵於是，大衛將以色列人從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口都招聚了來，要從基列耶琳將神的約櫃運來。So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim.

⁶大衛率領以色列眾人上到巴拉，就是屬猶大的基列耶琳，要從那裡將約櫃運來。這約櫃就是坐在二基路伯上耶和華神留名的約櫃。And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.

⁷他們將神的約櫃從亞比拿達的家裡抬出來，放在新車上。烏撒和亞希約趕車。And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.

⁸大衛和以色列眾人在神前用琴、瑟、鑼、鼓、號作樂，極力跳舞歌唱。And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

⁹到了基頓（撒下六章六節作拿艮）的禾場；因為牛失前蹄（或作驚跳），烏撒就伸手扶住約櫃。And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.

¹⁰耶和華向他發怒，因他伸手扶住約櫃擊殺他，他就死在神面前。And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.

¹¹大衛因耶和華擊殺（原文作闖殺）烏撒，心裡愁煩，就稱那地方為毗列斯烏撒，直到今日。And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perez-uzza to this day.

¹²那日，大衛懼怕神，說：神的約櫃怎可運到我這裡來？And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

¹³於是大衛不將約櫃運進大衛的城，卻運到迦特人俄別以東的家中。So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

¹⁴神的約櫃在俄別以東家中三個月，耶和華賜福給俄別以東的家和他一切所有的。And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.
