詩篇 第 39 篇

¹（大衛的詩，交與伶長耶杜頓。）我曾說：我要謹慎我的言行，免得我舌頭犯罪；惡人在我面前的時候，我要用嚼環勒住我的口。I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

²我默然無聲，連好話也不出口；我的愁苦就發動了，I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

³我的心在我裡面發熱。我默想的時候，火就燒起，我便用舌頭說話。My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

⁴耶和華啊，求你叫我曉得我身之終！我的壽數幾何？叫我知道我的生命不長！LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

⁵你使我的年日窄如手掌；我一生的年數，在你面前如同無有。各人最穩妥的時候，真是全然虛幻。（細拉）Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

⁶世人行動實係幻影。他們忙亂，真是枉然；積蓄財寶，不知將來有誰收取。Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

⁷主啊，如今我等甚麼呢？我的指望在乎你！And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

⁸求你救我脫離一切的過犯，不要使我受愚頑人的羞辱。Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

⁹因我所遭遇的是出於你，我就默然不語。I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

¹⁰求你把你的責罰從我身上免去；因你手的責打，我便消滅。Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

¹¹你因人的罪惡懲罰他的時候，叫他的笑容（的笑容：或譯所喜愛的）消滅，如衣被蟲所咬。世人真是虛幻！（細拉）When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

¹²耶和華啊，求你聽我的禱告，留心聽我的呼求！我流淚，求你不要靜默無聲！因為我在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，像我列祖一般。Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

¹³求你寬容我，使我在去而不返之先可以力量復原。O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.
