耶利米哀歌 第 5 章

¹耶和華啊，求你記念我們所遭遇的事，觀看我們所受的凌辱。Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.

²我們的產業歸與外邦人；我們的房屋歸與外路人。Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.

³我們是無父的孤兒；我們的母親好像寡婦。We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

⁴我們出錢才得水喝；我們的柴是人賣給我們的。We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.

⁵追趕我們的，到了我們的頸項上；我們疲乏不得歇息。Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.

⁶我們投降埃及人和亞述人，為要得糧吃飽。We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.

⁷我們列祖犯罪，而今不在了；我們擔當他們的罪孽。Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.

⁸奴僕轄制我們，無人救我們脫離他們的手。Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand.

⁹因為曠野的刀劍，我們冒著險才得糧食。We gat our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.

¹⁰因飢餓燥熱，我們的皮膚就黑如爐。Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

¹¹敵人在錫安玷污婦人，在猶大的城邑玷污處女。They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.

¹²他們吊起首領的手，也不尊敬老人的面。Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.

¹³少年人扛磨石，孩童背木柴，都絆跌了。They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.

¹⁴老年人在城門口斷絕；少年人不再作樂。The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.

¹⁵我們心中的快樂止息，跳舞變為悲哀。The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.

¹⁶冠冕從我們的頭上落下；我們犯罪了，我們有禍了！The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

¹⁷這些事我們心裡發昏，我們的眼睛昏花。For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.

¹⁸錫安山荒涼，野狗（或譯：狐狸）行在其上。Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.

¹⁹耶和華啊，你存到永遠；你的寶座存到萬代。Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.

²⁰你為何永遠忘記我們？為何許久離棄我們？Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?

²¹耶和華啊，求你使我們向你回轉，我們便得回轉。求你復新我們的日子，像古時一樣。Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

²²你竟全然棄絕我們，向我們大發烈怒？But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
